6 mobility exercises for golfers over 60If you’re a golfer in your 60s and your swing isn’t as smooth as it used to be, you’re not alone. Mike Hansen, the owner of Hansen Fitness for Golf in Irvine, has worked with thousands of sexagenarians and says there are typically three areas of the game that they struggle with: mobility, stability, and balance. In this video, Hansen will take you through his top six drills for golfers over 60 to help improve those important areas of your game. When it comes to mobility, you’ll learn drills that help provide you with the flexibility you need to make a complete shoulder turn and to separate and use your hips on the downswing. The exercises, which cover muscles from your core to your glutes, also assist with your stability and the ability to swing and maintain your balance. Follow along and hopefully you’ll be swinging strong well into your 60s. –– Mike Hansen is recognized as one of the original golf fitness coaches. Mike owns and operates Hansen Fitness for Golf, which he founded in 2001.
