Popular Temecula Valley course marks 50 years with upgrades and a new nameOne of the Temecula Valley’s oldest and most venerable golf courses recently hit the big five-oh, and marked the occasion earlier this year with a name change and a host of upgrades and renovations. Formerly known as Temecula Creek Inn Golf Resort, the newly monikered Temecula Creek Golf Club has seen more than $1 million in improvements since the Pechanga Tribe -- which also owns nearby Journey at Pechanga -- purchased the property in early 2018. The most recent upgrades to the golf course include tee laser leveling and new tee boxes, full bunker renovations, changes to the greens, ongoing irrigation updates and a fleet of new golf carts. But even with all the enhancements, the 50-year-old property still maintains an old-school vibe with its rustic ambience and tranquil views of rolling hillsides and stands of ancient oaks. Tucked into a mini canyon off Rainbow Canyon Road and Temecula Parkway, the 27-hole property has long been a charmer thanks to its classically designed golf course, particularly the Oaks and Creek nines. Both are shot-maker’s layouts that are not overly demanding but do ask you to work the ball both ways in order to shoot your best score. The third nine-hole track, the roller coaster-like Stone House, was added in 1990 and designed by Ted Robinson, Sr. > CLICK HERE to visit Temecula Creek Golf Club. YOU MAY ALSO LIKE
