Carlsbad Golf Center lets golfers take aim at ghosts, monsters and moreGolfers are in for a spooky good time this Halloween at the Carlsbad Golf Center. In addition to its regular targets on the driving range, the Carlsbad-based facility has added a host of holiday decorations that golfers can take aim at in the distance. To the delight of the range picker, for sure, targets include ghosts, a slime monster, Frankenstein, Dracula, a Happy Halloween bull’s eye, real and vinyl pumpkins, and more. You can even smack a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. In addition, the back of the range is decorated as a graveyard and includes a huge pumpkin and a witch that are all reachable for long hitters. “We have a little bit of everything,” said Don Gatch, facilities and operations manager of the Carlsbad Golf Center. “This mixes things up a bit and makes it fun for people to have something else to hit at. Our customers look forward to it.” The center, which has been putting up holiday decorations on the range for five years, also puts out displays for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, the Olympics, and the NCAA Final Four college basketball championships.
