11 Southern California PGA golf professionals honored for their work PGA professionals are much more than just golf instructors. They wear many hats in the industry, and with 29,000 of them across the country, they are a big part of the engine that drives the game. And to honor those members, the PGA of America has announced its special award winners for 2020, which include 11 members from the Southern California PGA. The contingent is led by Golf Professional of the Year Rob Oosterhuis, PGA, who has served as General Manager and CEO of Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks since 2016, and Teacher of the Year Randy Chang, PGA, who runs the Randy Chang Golf Schools at Journey at Pechanga in Temecula. The annual awards honor PGA golf professionals who demonstrate leadership and innovation in the game and the business of golf.
