Golfers can follow in the footsteps of history on No. 17 at the Stadium CourseCongratulations to Gregory Beehler for winning the fourth and final week of SoCal Golf Insider's Favorite Hole Contest and taking home a dozen Titleist Pro V1 golf balls! Below is Beehler’s choice, the 168-yard, par-3 17th hole on the Stadium Course at PGA West in La Quinta, which has been home to a PGA Tour event since the days of the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. It also has hosted the Skins Game, where PGA Tour legend Lee Trevino once aced the hole, as seen in the video above. Thank you to all who participated in the contest! Here is Beehler’s pick: “My favorite hole is No. 17 at PGA West’s Stadium Course. It’s an iconic hole with so much history and anyone can play it. We play it from the tips, (because we don’t play that course to lay up). It’s a big, risky hole over water to an island green that shouldn’t be that hard, but it is. Plus, when the PGA Tour is there, it’s a beer for a birdie hole! Meaning half price Michelob Ultras if someone birdies it! It’s like a mini version of 16th hole in the PGA Tour’s Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale. Good times!” CLICK HERE to visit the Stadium Course at PGA West online. YOU MAY ALSO LIKE
