After 14 seasons leading the USC Trojan’s men’s golf team, head coach Chris Zambri and the university have mutually agreed to part ways. There were no specific reasons given for his departure.
During his tenure, Zambri led the Trojans to three Pac-12 titles, three NCAA regional crowns, and a runner-up finish at the NCAA championships in 2008. He also played for the USC golf team from 1989-1993. "It was an honor to coach my alma mater,” Zambri said in a statement. “I was fortunate to work with so many great teams and players. I want to thank the players, staff, fans and donors who made my time coaching the Trojans so enjoyable. As I move on in my career, I will hold on to those memories and always will be rooting for the USC men's golf program." It was reported that USC women’s golf coach Justin Silverstein will assist with the men’s program until a replacement for Zambri is found. CLICK HERE to read more.
