Event at Indian Wells Golf Resort focuses on golf and photography experienceLike meat and potatoes or wine and cheese, golf and photography just seem to go together. The natural beauty of a golf course - whether it’s a municipal track in the middle of a city or an exclusive private club surrounded by nature - lends itself to spectacular imagery. Now there’s a way to combine the two. The Spring Golfography Experience will be held at the Indian Wells Golf Resort April 16-18, and it is one you won’t want to miss if you love a great bunker or sunrise shots – or both. The event is put on by world-renowned golf photographer Channing Benjamin and co-hosted by Patrick Koenig, also one of the top visual artists in the game. It is open to beginners, intermediate and advanced photographers and golfers alike. Images of Indian Wells Golf Resort taken by photographer Channing Benjamin. Participants will play 18 holes of golf each of the three days on the Players and Celebrity courses with their cameras in tow, will experience two days of landscape, sunrise and sunset photography lessons, receive instruction on optimal camera settings and setup, and enjoy some terrific meals at the award-winning Vue Grille & Bar. The workshop is $975 per participant, and space is limited. “There is nothing in the world like the Golfography Experience,” Benjamin said. “Not only do you get the experience, but you get to do it at a first class facility in season. It's a chance to meet other like minded individuals and create long lasting relationships.” During the Golfography Experience, participants will discuss the art of photography and how it relates to the game of golf. Technical ideas and tips for better photography and post processing will be covered, as well as photography for social media and how to develop a base of followers. While Benjamin has made a career out of golf photography, he understands just how enjoyable it can be as a hobby for others. “Shooting golf photos is really beautiful - there are not many ugly golf courses in the world, and it's a chance to get outside and into nature,” he said, adding that Indian Wells, set against a spectacular mountain backdrop, is about as ideal a shooting location as he could imagine. “It’s eye candy from tee to green. Location, location, location!” CLICK HERE for more information on the Spring Golfography Experience. YOU MAY ALSO LIKE
