Topgolf announces plans to tee up two of its first venues in Southern California

It’s official: Two Topgolf venues are coming to Southern California.

Topgolf Entertainment Group announced on February 8 that it plans to introduce its technology-enabled entertainment experience to the greater Los Angeles area with state-of-the-art facilities in Ontario and El Segundo.

The two highly anticipated venues will be the first locations to serve Southern California and will bring the total number in the state to four, joining Topgolf Roseville outside of Sacramento and Topgolf San Jose, which is expected to open in 2021.

The Ontario and El Segundo locations will feature Topgolf's signature hitting bays and tech-driven games as well as seasonal chef-driven menu items, top-shelf drinks, music and year-round programming for all ages in a climate-controlled outdoor space. Additionally, Topgolf will offer private event rooms for corporate meetings, celebrations and more.

Topgolf Ontario will be nestled on nearly 14 acres of undeveloped, county-owned land in San Bernardino County adjacent to Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park. The new, three-level venue will feature 102 hitting bays, plus a full-service restaurant and bar and event space for corporate and social events. Topgolf also plans to add a unique mini-golf experience after the initial venue opening.

Topgolf El Segundo will be located along Pacific Coast Highway as part of The Lakes at El Segundo 9-hole municipal golf course. Topgolf will assume operations of the 9-hole course, and will create a first-of-its-kind experience by offering Topgolf fun and a traditional green grass golf course. As part of the experience, Topgolf plans to renovate the golf course with night-lighting and enhance the pro shop and clubhouse.

Topgolf in El Segundo will become part of the The Lakes at El Segundo municipal course.

Both locations are slated to begin development this month and are expected to open in early 2022.
