Class at Tijeras Creek Golf Club offers yoga and golf instruction Increased flexibility, improved strength, better balance and sharper focus are just a few of the benefits a yoga routine can bring to your golf game. You can find out for yourself as Tijeras Creek Golf Club in Rancho Santa Margarita is offering a yoga and golf instruction class on Saturday, August 15, at 9 a.m. The class includes a 45- to 60-minute yoga session, followed by refreshments and a stint on the driving range in which participants receive instruction from the club’s staff of golf professionals. The sessions are open to men and women of all ages and abilities. “Yoga fits in nicely with golf, because among many other benefits it can help your game with the breathing and focus that’s required,” said Bethany Coe, Tijeras Creek's Retail Merchandising Manager and a regular yoga participant. “It’s fun to tie the two together.” The sign-up fee is $30 for yoga and refreshments and $40 for participants who want to stay for the golf instruction. Tijeras Creek Golf Club is among the top public golf courses in Southern California, boasting an 18-hole, 7,003-yard track designed by Ted Robinson, and an acclaimed back nine that winds through old-growth sycamores, oaks and native chaparral, providing breathtaking scenery and awe-inspiring elevation changes. The course also features TJ’s Cantina restaurant and bar with outdoor seating, Taco Tuesday on the patio, and special family dinner nights that are available for curbside pickup every Friday. Call the golf shop at (949) 589-9793 to reserve your spot in the yoga class. Space is limited. RELATED POSTS
