Summer sizzle

Beat the Heat outing set for August 21
​at Tustin Ranch Golf Club

    In the sweltering, dog days of August, Tustin Ranch Golf Club has exactly what golfers need:
    A Beat the Heat golf outing, which will take place Friday, August 21, with tee times beginning at 8 a.m.
    The 18-hole event at the Ted Robinson-designed track will feature individual gross and net formats with flights for men, women and seniors.
​    The entry fee is $130 for the general public, and includes golf, box lunch, range balls and overall prizes. Monthly members of the club can enter for $85.

    In order to ensure safety, participants are asked to check in 20 minutes prior to their scheduled tee time, and to turn in their scorecards after their round and depart the course. All scoring will be done online and players will be sent a link to view final results with payouts available in the pro shop the following day.
    The course will test golfers with its par-72, 6,842-yard layout that features numerous water features, large, multi-tiered greens that can make putting an adventure, and a beautiful signature hole, the par-3 11th that requires a shot to a green surrounded by water.
