Tustin Ranch Golf Club offers a premier golf and dining experienceIn the heart of Orange County sits an oasis for golf enthusiasts and those who simply enjoy the finer things in life. Tustin Ranch Golf Club, which opened in 1989 amid the national high-end public golf course boom, is a 6,842-yard classic Ted Robinson design featuring multi-tiered greens to challenge the most competitive golfers, but also ample fairways and landing areas that make it accessible for players of all abilities. The club also offers top-shelf dining options for before or after a round. “We are a course that everyone can play and enjoy,” said Brent Boznanski, General Manager of the American Golf-managed club, which is currently open under restrictions due to the coronavirus. “We’re centrally located in the middle of Orange County with beautiful views of the Santa Ana Mountains from several holes, and our service and experience are things we take a lot of pride in every day. With our amenities, course, clubhouse and staff we try to treat each golfer as if this was their course, so their day here is an experience rather than just a round of golf.” That experience begins on the practice range, where golfers can hit off grass or mats day and night, and where teaching professionals offer group and individual lessons. Once on the course, each hole is memorable, but certain ones will leave you replaying them in your head long after your round is complete. The par 4, 339-yard fifth hole may seem attackable at first, but the landing area is protected by large fairway bunkers and palm trees, and the three-tiered green puts a premium on accuracy. The signature 11th hole is a stunning 170-yard, par 3 with nothing but water between tee and green. And you’ll close out your round on No. 18 with a delicate tee shot between two tall eucalyptus trees, followed by an approach in which you will have to avoid a bunker and water in front of the green as well as three tiers on the putting surface. The memorable finishing hole can be savored over a pint and a plate in the pub-style Players Lounge or in the Augusta and Broadmoor rooms overlooking the golf course. Tustin Ranch has received more than its share of accolades over the years. Readers of the Orange County Register have consistently voted it the best “Orange County Golf Course and Driving Range,” and in 2008 it was named the California Golf Course Owner Association’s Course of the Year. While most green fees are upward of $100 on the weekend, one thing that sets Tustin Ranch apart is its monthly membership program – The Club at Tustin Ranch. Members get exclusive access to the lowest rates – including $20 super twilight fees that allow you to bring a child for free seven days a week – as well as merchandise discounts and special rates for entry into all of the club’s hosted tournaments. “It is the best membership in all of Orange County for such a quality golf course and experience,” Boznanski said.
